KLS MARTIN RED-forceps

The specifications for the RED development called for a medical design that would recognise, even at first glance, that the forceps were secure and precisely held in the hand. The handle area is formed in a metal injection process and then soldered to the springs and the different tips. Coherent, flowing transitions have been designed between the structural elements. The weight distribution is well balanced. RED stands for Revolutionary Ergonomic Design.

KLS MARTIN is one of the leading German manufacturers of HF-surgical equipment. Among other things, bipolar forceps, whose legs are electrically insulated from each other, are connected to the high-frequency current. When the current is delivered to the conductive tips, it can be used to occlude blood vessels. In addition, the RED forceps introduced in 2012 have non-stick properties, i.e. they do not stick due to a special coating on the tips.
