For a deeper understanding of the recycling economy it is indispensable to know the current processes at the product end of life. SÜD-REC, Süddeutsche Recycling GmbH, in Illingen (Enzkreis), which operates one of the most modern plants in Germany for this purpose, specializes in the recycling of electronic scrap from industry and from recycling centers. The plant manager, Helmut Oberguggenberger, provided the participants of a VDID excursion with fascinating insights into a topic of constantly growing importance.
